Anglo Saxon Brooches

This week, Hawk class have looked at photos of Anglo-Saxon artefacts and started to design and make their own Anglo-Saxon style brooches.

Welcome to Year 5

At the end of our first, full week in Year 5, I wanted to post a huge well done to all of Hawk class for proving themselves to be a fantastic and hardworking team. From learning about where the Anglo-Saxons came from to developing ideas and features of a character description, the children have approached all of their learning with enthusiasm and perseverance. In Maths, we have been developing our place value understanding in 6 and 7 digit numbers and Hawks have shown skills in both reasoning and problem-solving. A great start Hawk class – well done!
